Women Saturday 14th May 2022

A good day of volleyball, with some great rallies and play.  And some lovely sunshine, too.

Both pools went to the last match to decide the top 3 in each pool.  In Pool 1, Invicta and Oxford were playing for 2nd spot.  Oxford edged the match on a Golden Point, but it wasn’t enough to overturn the points difference advantage which Invicta had.  In Pool 2, Dartford prevailed by a single point over Farnborough in a 1-1 match.  That was enough to take both teams through to the semis, pushing Sussex Dolphins down to 3rd place in the pool.

  • 1st Worthing
  • 2nd Farnborough
  • 3rd Dartford and Invicta

Men Sunday 15th May 2022

A good day for Surrey, with both Spelthorne and Mole Valley making it to the final.  Slightly less good for Kent as, for the second day in a row, both Kent teams made the semi-finals but neither was able to progress to the final itself.

The Men’s tournament was also very open and in common with the women’s tournament on Saturday, the top 2 in each Pool were only finalised by the last match in each pool.  Both those matches were between the teams playing off for 2nd place.

1st Spelthorne
2nd Mole Valley
3rd Invicta and Dartford.

Thanks to all the volunteers who made this event happen. Please consider volunteering to help next year. We really do need more volunteers to help in the future. It’s a great competition and we want it to continue.
